TV show idea:

my TV show will be about 2 college girls who have a talent for robbing people, they take advantage of these abilities and often break into the homes of/ steal from people who do them wrong as a form of revenge and to get money. The segment of this show that I will be producing will be a scene where the 2 girls carry out a robbery on someone who has 'betrayed' one of the main characters somehow.

Target audience:

The target audience for Finesse will be young millennials aged around 18-22 as they are likely to be able to relate well to the teenaged main characters. They will enjoy an upbeat and unique style of filming. The audience will be mainly female as they can relate to the 2 lead characters but it can also be enjoyed by men, especially as it contains action and crime which are conventions enjoyed by males. Although the 2 lead characters in the segment I will produce are Caucasian, Finesse can be viewed by audiences of any race as other characters throughout the show will represent a range of ethnic backgrounds. Finesse is aimed at aspirers and explorers who can live through the characters and enjoy feeling rebellious without facing the consequences.  

Form and style

The style of Finesse will be an artistic filming style which uses a range of unique camera angles and movement rarely seen, especially in crime dramas. It will feature a fast-paced editing style to engage the audience and add suspense to the scenes, other editing techniques that will be included are slow motion, jump cuts, split screens etc which will be spread out through the series. The sequence will be filmed in the dark to represent that a crime is being committed and to add a sense of mystery and danger to the action. I will use a hand held camera in order to create unsteady shots, this will add to the recklessness of the action and create an on-edge feel in the audience which will help build suspense. It will also add to the uncertainty of whether or not their plan will be a success or if they will get caught. 

Narrative structure:

The narrative structure of the segment I will produce will be of a key turning point where the 2 girls break into the home of someone of great significance to one of them. This is the most personal victim they have ever targeted and this crime creates a pathway for the girls towards more serious crime as well as creating a police investigation which comes close to catching them.

Production team:
Fiesse will have a relatively large production team for a new show as it will need multiple crew members to carry out the unique and complex camerawork and editing throughout the series.
