industry context crime dramas on ITV liar safe house Broadchurch endeavour Midsomer murders  crime drams on Channel 5 suspects top British crime dramas Broadchurch- ITV Luther- BBC 1 Sherlock- BBC 1 peaky blinders- BBC 2 From this research I can conclude that the BBC broadcasts some of the most popular British, crime dramas, I can also sate that ITV broadcast more crime dramas than channel 5, therefore it would be wise to aim my product at ITV instead on channel 5 since its is more likely to be shown on that network.
PRODUCT PLAN                                                                           audio visual originally I wanted to make a factual show based on the behaviour of people living together, similar to Love Island or Big Brother, however I thought that, realistically, it would be difficult to get people I knew to act like the sort of people that are seen on shows like that. this is because people on these shows have to be dramatic and , in some people opinions, fake and over the top. I knew that my friends would find it difficult to act well in that way without finding cringe worthy and breaking character. I then thought I could make a documentary about education in Cambridge, but realised the product I wanted to create was too similar to shows like educating Essex/ Yorkshire etc. which are bro...

Welcome to my media blog, my name is Lauren Hall and through this blog I'll be documenting the process of my media coursework. The coursework for this year's media studies A-level at Hills Road is to create a 2min 30- 3min audio-visual sequence of a scene from a factual or fictional TV show which would be broadcast on either ITV or Channel5 and would be aimed towards a target audience of millennials, the sequence must be from one of 3 points in the narrative/structure of the show: a key turning point, a point of significant conflict or a resolution. As well as this, I will need to produce a magazine cover and 2 page spread for that show in a lifestyle magazine of my creation. I also need to write a statement of aims and intentions, this will need to be approximately 500 words long. For my statement of aims and intentions I will need to create a brief outline of my aims and intentions for my product.
